Kunegunda (Connie) Sabon was born on June 23, 1932, in Farmingdale, New York, to Eleanora Shea, (1908-1997) and Michael Sabon, (1906-1964 born Poland).

In 1940, Connie lived with her parents and siblings in Oyster Bay, New York. Her father worked as a salesman. Her maternal grandmother, Della Crawford, also lived with the family.

In 1950, Connie lived in Brooklyn with her parents and siblings. Her sister, Marion’s husband, John Ogden, and their son John also lived with the family. Connie worked as a sales person at Woolworths, her father worked as a packer at Washington Market, and John Ogden worked as a tank driver for the oil company.

MARRIAGE
In 1951, Connie married Francis Salvador Theodore Hamilton in Key West. Their children were:




- Francis Salvador was born on July 4, 1952, in Key West, Florida.
- Teena Marie was born on July 9, 1956, in Key West, Florida.
- Terry Lynn was born on September 29, 1958, in Key West, Florida.
- Connie Ann was born on June 17, 1962, in Virginia Beach, Virginia.



In 1964, Francis and Connie helped to raise Francis’ younger brothers, Junius and Tommy Posey after their mother, Florinda GOMES Hamilton Posey was killed in a car accident.



After leaving the Navy in 1969, Francis and his family settled down in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

In the late 1970s, the family moved to Chiefland, Florida where Francis built a house in a beautiful wooded area.

Connie’s husband Francis passed away on November 6, 1978, in Trenton, Florida, at the age of 49. They had been married 27 years.


DEATH
Kunegunda (Connie) Sabon died on December 10, 2011, in Gainesville, Florida, when she was 79 years old.
OBITUARY
Kunegunda S. Hamilton, 79, of Chiefland passed away Dec. 10, 2011 at North Florida Regional Medical Center in Gainesville. Born in Farmingdale, NY she has been in Levy County for the past 7 years after living in Gilchrist County over 20 years. Mrs. Hamilton was a homemaker who was proud of her family. She enjoyed reading, playing cards, puzzle books and watching TV.
She is survived by her daughters, Connie A. Ward of Chiefland, Terry L. Starr from Battle Creek, MI, Teena M. Miller of Defuniak Springs, FL, son Francis S. Hamilton of Daytona Beach, FL, sister Honoria Garguila of Lutz, FL, brothers Stanley Sabon, and Chuck Sabon, both of NC, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Memorial Services will be Friday Dec 16th at 11:00 AM at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, Chiefland. Arrangements are under the care of Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services, 1301 N. Young Blvd., Chiefland, FL
