Isabelle Bradley Johnson was born on June 3, 1869, in Huntsville, Alabama, to Gilbert Marquis Lafayette Johnson (1837-1871) and Susan Clarke Bradley (1841-1918).

In 1870, Belle lived with her parents in Madison County, Alabama. Her father is listed as a Postmaster. The Bradley’s lived next door.

Her father Gilbert Lafayette passed away on January 9, 1871, in Huntsville, Alabama, at the age of 33.
After her father’s death, Belle and her mother lived in Arcadia, Florida. Later Belle’s obituary states that “her sweetness of manner won for her the title of ‘Angel of the Piney Woods.’
In 1880, Belle lived with her widowed mother at the home of Joseph Bradley (Sue Bradley’s brother).

MARRIAGE
Isabelle Bradley Johnson married John William Johnson (1863-1918) in Arcadia, Florida, on February 21, 1890, when she was 20 years old.
CHILDREN
- Isabelle Bradley was born on December 8, 1890, in Key West, Florida.
- Sue Bradley was born on October 20, 1892.
- Gilbert Motier Lafayette was born on September 26, 1894, in Key West, Florida.




In 1900, Belle lived on 13th Street in Miami, Florida with her husband John Johnson, daughters Isabelle and Susan, and son Gilbert. John is listed as a Hardware Merchant. Belle’s mother, Susan Bradley lived in the household with them.


In 1910, Belle and John Johnson lived in Key West with their daughter, Susie, their son, Gilbert, and Belle’s mother Susan. John worked in a real estate office.

Belle and her daughter, Isabelle are listed in the Daughters of the American Revolution Lineage Book NSDAR Volume 146 1919.

Her mother Susan Clarke passed away on March 13, 1918, in Miami, Florida, at the age of 76.
Her husband John William passed away on September 19, 1918, in Miami, Florida, at the age of 55. They had been married 28 years.
DEATH
Isabelle Bradley Johnson died on November 17, 1920, in Miami, Florida, when she was 51 years old.
